General terms and conditions

Rime Advokatfirma DA (Rime) has been granted permission to conduct attorney activities by the Supervisory Council for Legal Practice. All our lawyers are members of the Bar Association. We are insured with Tryg Forsikring, 5020 Bergen (org. no. 989 563 521). Rime aims to offer competitive prices. Costs are primarily based on the amount of time spent, but also vary according to the nature and complexity of the assignment. For simpler cases, we can provide a fixed price in advance.

We adhere to the ethical guidelines of the Bar Association and the Competition Authority's price disclosure regulations from 2012. At the start of an assignment, clients are informed about hourly rates, how fees are calculated, and invoicing procedures. We can also agree to provide regular updates on expenses.

For private clients, our recommended hourly rate ranges between kr. 2,000,- and kr. 4,200,- plus 25 percent VAT, depending on based upon the lawyers seniority level (associate, attorney, senior attorney and partner) and the nature of the case. Although these are our guidelines, exceptions may apply in special cases. Each work period is calculated for a minimum of 15 minutes. Additional expenses related to the case are added to the calculated time. For corporate clients, the price is agreed upon separately.

Rime does not take cases on a "no-cure-no-pay" basis. According to the rules of the Bar Association, we also cannot agree to a percentage-based fee related to the outcome of the case.

No assignments are considered accepted on our part until this is confirmed in writing with an assignment confirmation.
